The Liverpool striker scored in the Reds’ 2-0 defeat of Manchester United.

Liverpool Under 19s progressed to the quarter finals of the UEFA Youth League thanks to a 2-0 win over Manchester United on Wednesday.
Ben Woodburn and Rafael Camacho ensured victory for Steven Gerrard’s side against their north west rivals, who are managed by a former midfielder of their own in Nicky Butt.
However, it is Woodburn – who finished well with a glancing header from Neco Williams’ deep cross – taking most of the plaudits from Liverpool fans on Twitter.

The Welsh talent is said to have been the subject of interest from clubs including Sunderland during the January transfer window, but was kept at Anfield by first team boss Jurgen Klopp, who allowed Daniel Sturridge to leave on loan instead.
And many of a Liverpool persuasion hope to see Woodburn put to use in the Reds’ upcoming fixtures against West Ham United and FC Porto.
Here’s what they’re saying about the 18-year-old…
Woodburn has already appeared 10 times for Liverpool’s first team and famously scored on his debut against Leeds United in November 2016.
