Liverpool starlet Ben Woodburn has become a hero for his nation after he scored a stunning goal just four minutes into his international debut against Austria.

Woodburn came off the bench to score a brilliant winner for Chris Coleman’s side in their World Cup qualifier against Austria on Saturday.

The 17-year-old, who became the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool’s history last November when he scored against Leeds United in the League Cup, made a grand entry into the international arena with that brilliant goal.

Liverpool fans are naturally more than excited to see one of their highly promising young talents doing so well for his country.

The Reds fans have taken to Twitter to express their opinion on Woodburn’s performance. Here are some of the selected tweets:

Woodburn is a highly rated young talent, and it remains to be seen how he develops under the watchful eye of Jurgen Klopp.

While he is a natural goalscorer, the youngster has been used in the creative midfield role in some of Liverpool’s pre-season friendlies.

Liverpool first team squad are choc-a-bloc with world class attacking talents, and Klopp will find it hard to integrate him straightaway, but he could be used in domestic cup games.
