Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Andy Robertson’s performance – and rave about him.

Mohamed Salah of Liverpool celebrates with teammates Georginio Wijnaldum, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Andy Robertson after scoring his sides third goal during the Premier League match...

Mo Salah scored four goals as Liverpool thumped Watford 5-0 at Anfield on Saturday evening.

In doing so, the Liverpool attacker, a £36 million summer signing from Roma, moved four goals clear of Harry Kane in the Golden Boot stakes, bringing his total of Premier League goals for the season to 28.

The Egypt international has proven a phenomenal signing, but he isn’t the only brilliant bit of business that manager Jurgen Klopp did last summer.

Left-back Andy Robertson doesn’t get the same attention or plaudits as Salah, but the Scot also represents a fantastic signing after arriving from Hull City last summer.

Robertson was brilliant against Watford again and, having only cost £8 million, Liverpool fans can’t believe how cheap he was.

In the modern climate, spending £8 million on Robertson does represent an astonishing bit of business and considering he’s only 24, Liverpool might not need another first-choice left-back for quite a few years.

Considering Alberto Moreno’s struggles, Reds supporters must be delighted at finally seeing Klopp sort out that position. The Spaniard isn’t necessarily a bad player, but he inspires no confidence whatsoever and Liverpool fans’ are probably twice as chuffed with Robertson, in light of Moreno’s deficiencies down the years.
