Liverpool are claimed to have clinched a deal to sign the defender.
Hull City’s Andrew Robertson
Liverpool were claimed by The Mirror last night to be on the verge of clinching a deal to sign Hull City defender Andy Robertson.
Hours later Robertson was relegated with Hull as his side were smashed 4-0 by Crystal Palace in a decisive game.
It wasn’t the best look for the full-back, who played 45 minutes of the fixture.

He was hooked off at half-time with Hull two goals down and having to chase the game, although their switches proved fruitless.
In his half on the pitch Robertson did not make a single successful tackle and was booked, although did manage two interceptions.

It was hardly fair to judge a promising talent on this performance, but with the Liverpool links, there was understandably extra interest from Reds’ supporters.
The 23-year-old’s career will get a timely boost from moving to Anfield, but there is no guarantee he will be first choice at the club.
Fans are unconvinced he is the answer to the left-back position and took to Twitter to voice their concerns…
