Andy Lonergan made a surprise appearance for Liverpool.

Andy Lonergan was a surprise starter for Liverpool during the Reds’ pre-season friendly against Sevilla.
Lonergan had been drafted in as cover during Liverpool’s pre-season.
First choice stopper Alisson has been at the Copa America, while Kamil Grabara has been loaned to Huddersfield.
This prompted the Reds to reach out to veteran goalkeeper Lonergan, who last played for Rochdale, while on loan from Huddersfield.
The former Wolves, Leeds, Bolton and Fulham stopper is 35.

He acquitted himself well in his 45 minutes on the pitch, making a good one on one save from Luuk de Jong.
He conceded once, with Liverpool going in 1-1 at half-time before he was replaced with Simon Mignolet.
Lonergan might stand a chance of landing a short term Liverpool deal to be the club’s third choice for the season.
He did himself no harm last night…
