Alisson could be in line to return to Liverpool’s starting XI when they take on Manchester United on Sunday.
Liverpool supporters on Twitter were over the moon after reacting to a club tweet where Alisson Becker was making a return to training.
The Reds official Twitter account posted a training ground clip which featured Alisson make a return to the turf following his recent injury lay-off.
At the weekend, Jurgen Klopp’s side will take on rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford, and Alisson’s return could potentially mean that he starts on Sunday.
Liverpool supporter on Twitter think that Alisson’s return means the clean sheets will come back for the club, as some stated that they felt sorry for Adrian.
He has stepped into Alisson’s shoes during the past few months, and it is fair to say that he has done a pretty solid job between the sticks.
Adrian has put in a number of respectable performances, and considering the manner in which he had to fill in for his goalkeeping counterpart, the Spaniard didn’t show any signs of nerves or inexperience.
Nonetheless, it seems as though Alisson’s return to training has given the club a much-needed boost, and they will be hoping that filters onto the pitch on Sunday.
Liverpool are defending their lead at the top of the Premier League table and their 100% start to the season, as they could seemingly be 12 points clear by Monday morning.
Of course, things have to fall into place such as Liverpool winning at Old Trafford and Manchester City dropping points again.
Either way, Alisson has returned to action at a brilliant time and with his team in such a strong position in the Premier League.
