Glasgow Rangers are reportedly close to bringing Ovie Ejaria to Ibrox this summer.

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from The Scottish Sun over the weekend which have suggested that Rangers are closing in on a deal to sign Ovie Ejaria – with many feeling that a move to Ibrox could be perfect for the youngster.
Ejaria is one of a number of extremely bright talents currently coming through at Anfield, but he has had to bide his time and wait patiently for chances in the Reds’ first-team, with just a handful to his name so far. But the reported move to Rangers would not be his first spell away from Merseyside if Steven Gerrard does manage to bag the 20-year-old’s signature.

The midfielder spent the second-half of this past season at the Stadium of Light trying to help Sunderland fight against suffering back to back relegations. Unfortunately, the Black Cats will be playing in League One next term and Ejaria arguably did little to send a statement to Jurgen Klopp about his future prospects during his time away.
That is why there is a sense amongst a small group of Liverpool fans on social media that a loan move to Ibrox may represent Ejaria’s final chance to prove that he can make the grade with the Reds. Few management teams stand a better chance of getting the best out of the prospect than Gerrard and Gary McAllister and the Scottish Premiership may often give Ejaria a great platform to showcase his ability.

The majority of Liverpool supporters feel that Ejaria sealing a loan switch to the Gers could be a fantastic step for all parties. Rangers are getting a talented youngster in their ranks for a season, while Ejaria is one of the two best English central midfielders of his generation, and Liverpool will be hoping that they see their youngster develop significantly during his potential year away.
The general consensus amongst the Liverpool supporters certainly appears to be that a loan move to Rangers could be perfect for Ejaria should the Gers manage to get the formalities sorted in the coming days.
