Salah arrived in the Premier League off the back of a fantastic spell with Roma, but few could have imagined just how incredible a signing he would turn out to be for the Reds.
He finished the campaign with 32 Premier League goals and 44 in all competitions as Jurgen Klopp’s men reached the Champions League final, while the Egyptian took home the Golden Boot for his first season back in England’s top flight since being discarded by Chelsea.
That is why all Liverpool fans are clearly delighted this week with the news that the club have now confirmed on their official website that the 26-year-old has signed a new long-term deal on Merseyside.
The contract extension is a major statement of intent from the Reds. It would be no surprise if some of the other biggest clubs in the world were sniffing around the forward, so the deal certainly suggests that he believes that he can realise all of his ambitions at Liverpool.
