Spurs currently sit in third and six points behind Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Ryan Mason reckons Tottenham Hotspur have a chance of holding the Premier League trophy aloft come the end of the season – and Liverpool fans have reacted hilariously on Twitter.
The former Spurs man told TalkSport that he believes Mauricio Pochettino’s men are in with a shout of challenging for the title, despite sitting in third place and already six points behind leaders Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side became the Premier League’s new leaders over the weekend after beating Bournemouth 4-0 away from home thanks to a Mo Salah hat-trick and an own goal.
Manchester City lost 2-0 against Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea, which sees them drop to second – still five points above Spurs who have 36 points from 16 league games. They have enjoyed an excellent start, though, winning 12 and losing four.

Mason said: “I’ve said it all season, I really believe it,” when asked about Spurs chances of finishing at the top of the table, despite already suffering defeats to Manchester City and Liverpool – as well as north London rivals Arsenal.
Liverpool fans reacted to Mason’s comments on Twitter, with the majority laughing off the 27-year-old retired star’s comments. One fan Tweeted: “Surely he is messing.”
