The Arsenal striker joins three Liverpool players in Gareth Southgate’s latest squad.

A number of Liverpool fans are kicking off over the inclusion of Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck in the latest England squad.
Welbeck is one of six forward players called up by Gareth Southgate, none of whom are Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge.
The resurgent Sturridge has scored two goals in his last three Reds appearances – and four in eight this season – but is again overlooked by Southgate, who last selected the 29-year-old in October 2017.
And – despite the fact Welbeck boasts the better scoring rate (a goal every 2.65 England appearances, compared with Sturridge’s 3.25) – the England manager’s preference for the Arsenal man is not being well received by those of a Liverpool persuasion.
Jay @SaIahesque: Does Welbeck have Southgate’s nudes or something? F*** me how hasn’t Sturridge been named over him
Liverpool do, however, boast the most England squad representatives (three – tied with Manchester City), with Welbeck the only Arsenal player involved.
What do you make of Gareth Southgate’s decision to call up Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck over Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge?
