Manchester City took on Burnley in the Premier League today, in a game that finished 1-1 at Turf Moor. It was a game that will be remembered mostly for what was a horror miss from Raheem Sterling that cost city all three points.
It will also be remembered for two fantastic saves by City goalkeeper Ederson. His stop down low from Ben Mee in the first half was good, but his save from Aaron Lennon in the second was simply sensational.
The summer signing has been key to Manchester City’s improvement this season and has been sensational between the sticks.

His performance certainly had fans of one team feeling slightly envious. Liverpool fans have been left frustrated in recent times by the performances of their goalkeepers. Loris Karius has failed to shine since his arrival at the club and Simon Mignolet has never really won over fans at Anfield.
The poor form of the goalkeepers at Liverpool has certainly contributed to the club’s continued struggle to defend in the Premier League and has undoubtedly cost them a number of points over the years.

Ederson, as well as being a fantastic shot-stopper, is brilliant with the ball at his feet. In fact, he outpassed all the Burnley players in the 1-1 draw.
Liverpool would love to have a goalkeeper like Ederson keeping watch for them and in all seriousness it is amazing more has not been done to make it happen.
