Liverpool’s Sadio Mane has been a key player for Jurgen Klopp in recent seasons and will be paramount to them if they are to win the Premier League title.
Liverpool fans on Twitter have laughed off reports that Sadio Mane could be heading to Real Madrid in a deal involving one of their star men Marco Asensio.
The Express recently claimed that Real Madrid are ready to offer Asensio for Liverpool’s powerful winger this summer, as the La Liga club aim to build after a disappointing campaign last term.
Asensio is a player that has perhaps not taken his game to the levels some may have expected it to be at, at this moment in time, but there’s no doubt that he has serious talent in his locker.
But he doesn’t hold a candle to Mane, who was one of the best attacking players in Europe last season as he played his part in Liverpool winning the Champions League.
It wasn’t just in Europe where Mane was instrumental. He was also a key member of the team that recorded 97 points in the Premier League, but just lost out to Pep Guardiola’s steam train in Manchester City.
The Reds supporters simply can’t see this happening as they were in stitches when they first heard about the quite remarkable transfer report.
It would take a serious sum of money for Liverpool to part ways with Mane because if they are to end their title drought then a player like Mane is going to play a huge part in them winning the trophy.
