Tottenham midfielder comes in for criticism after shock loss – having told Liverpool to watch out.

Harry Winks’ face at full time after Tottenham Hotspur’s shock defeat to Newcastle United said it all.
As well as the team’s poor performance, we wonder if he was contemplating his comments from earlier in the week.
After Spurs managed to draw away at Manchester City, Winks’ confidently talked up his team’s ability to compete for the Premier League title.
He fired a direct warning to City and Liverpool, telling The Evening Standard: “I think they [City and Liverpool] should worry about us. We’ve shown in the last few years we can compete with the best teams in the Premier League and Europe.”
It is safe to say Liverpool and City are not worrying about Tottenham at the moment.

City have seven points and Liverpool nine, while Spurs have just four.
Last season Tottenham finished 26 points behind Liverpool and 27 back from City. This weekend’s result hinted this is a gap which could repeat itself.
