Last night Juventus were defeated by Ajax 3-2 on aggregate, having led 2-1.
It was a galling defeat for the Italians, who were heavy favourites to win the tie.
Meanwhile the team he left behind are not looking back, even if some of the fans are gloating at Can’s expense.
Liverpool are 2-0 up in their tie against Porto and currently top of the Premier League.
They have effectively replaced Can and even upgraded by bringing in Fabinho.
