Liverpool fans let Coutinho know what they think of his message.

Liverpool suffered a blow at the weekend when their move for Nabil Fekir fell through.

They are looking to sign the Frenchman as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who forced a move to Barcelona in January.

The Reds wanted to keep the Brazilian until this summer at least but he could not wait any longer, giving up the chance to play in the Champions League to do so.

Many Liverpool fans are not over the way Coutinho so desperately pushed to leave Anfield.

Last night he invited criticism, by posting a promoted tweet which urged his followers to show ‘loyalty.

Liverpool fans were quick to call him out on it.

Coutinho ended the season winning a La Liga medal for his contribution at Barcelona.

He played 18 La Liga games, scoring an impressive eight goals and providing five assists.

But he will never know if he could have gone one better and been the difference maker for Liverpool in the Champions League final if he had stayed.
