Liverpool fans impressed with Marko Grujic’s display against Manchester United.
Marko Grujic scored one goal and set up another as Liverpool’s under-23 beat Manchester United 3-1.
Ovie Ejaria and Harry Wilson scored the other two goals for the Reds, while James Wilson had netted for United.
Grujic was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing as Liverpool manager, but has had the least opportunities of any of his additions.
The 21-year-old Serbian has impressed in consecutive pre-seasons, and is a consistently standout player for Liverpool’s under-23s.
The Reds are top of the under-23 league, winning without scoring sensation Rhian Brewster who is with England’s under-17 squad.
With Liverpool’s first team producing inconsistent results, fans are hoping that manager Jurgen Klopp will start to give Grujic more chances.
There are no cup games for Grujic to be tested in until January, and if Klopp is reluctant to give him a league opportunities, his best option may be in the Champions League if Liverpool can qualify for the knockout stages with a game to spare.
Whenever Grujic does get his chance, he will have to take it. A performance like last night’s will do the trick.
