Tottenham Hotspur have gone out of two competitions in a week, much to Liverpool supporters amusement.
Liverpool fans have hit back at Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino, following his side’s exit from two competitions in a week.
Tottenham have gone out of the League Cup and the FA Cup in the last week.
And Liverpool supporters have taken to Twitter to take digs at the Spurs boss.
Pochettino said to Daily Mirror last Wednesday: “I saw Liverpool is now in Dubai and all the pundits say Liverpool have the best squad with Manchester City, but we are the ones still involved in four competitions.”
And the Spurs boss’s comments have now come back to haunt him, with Liverpool fans not forgetting them.
Tottenham first lost to Chelsea on penalties in the League Cup, before being beaten by Crystal Palace at the weekend.
Spurs have been unfortunate with injuries, with a number of their star players currently unavailable.
Tottenham do have Heung-Min Son returning soon though, in what is a major boost for Pochettino.
Spurs are next in action on Wednesday evening, while Liverpool face Leicester City.
