A large number of Liverpool fans were impressed with what they saw from James Maddison in Jurgen Klopp’s side’s latest win.
Liverpool stand a fantastic chance of going into the international break sat at the top of the Premier League table after they made it four wins out of four with a 2-1 victory at Leicester on Saturday.
It appeared that the Reds would cruise to another victory as Sadio Mane gave the visitors an early lead at the King Power Stadium before Roberto Firmino made the score 2-0 just before the break.
Alisson’s mistake set up a nervy finish, as he allowed Rachid Ghezzal to score Leicester’s first of the game shortly after the hour-mark. But Liverpool would see the contest out to secure the three points.
It may not have been a perfect performance from the Reds but they did get the job done. And one of the players who ensured that it would be a tricky afternoon for the visitors was James Maddison.
Leicester’s £20 million signing – fee reported by BBC Sport – has made a fantastic start to life with the Foxes, and he left a number of Liverpool fans singing his praises on Twitter after the game concluded on Saturday.
Sky Sports reported in the summer that the Reds were one of the teams keen on signing the playmaker, and after his display against Klopp’s men, several fans clearly believe that the league leaders need to have another look at the youngster in a future window.
