The Reds academy boss is happy with Wilson’s progress at Bournemouth but some Anfield faithful aren’t sure why Jurgen Klopp hasn’t given him a first-team chance.

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Reds academy manager Alex Inglethorpe’s comments on Harry Wilson, as published on the official Reds website.
The 22-year-old was superb last season for Derby County in the Championship and this term he has hit the ground running in the Premier League on loan at Bournemouth, picking up their Player of the Month award for August.
Although the Cherries have had a fairly mixed start this term, with one win and one draw from four league games, Wilson was at the heart of some of their key moments in 2019-20 so far.
He scored on his Premier League debut against Aston Villa en route to a 2-1 win and then followed that up with a sensational free kick in the 3-1 defeat away at champions Manchester City.
“Harry had a good, promising season at Derby County and I’m really hoping he can continue that on loan at Bournemouth,” Inglethorpe told the official Liverpool website about the £10.8million-rated attacker (Transfermarkt).

“Harry has got real ability and he influences games, so I’m interested to see what happens when he gets the opportunity to play regularly in the Premier League. Can he step up another level because he has proven he can do it in the Championship? Hopefully he can carry that on in the Premier League.”
Some Liverpool supporters, however, seem a bit annoyed at the fact Wilson is not being given a chance in the Reds’ first team, and made their feelings clear on social media:
Wilson, who came through the ranks at Anfield, is contracted to the Reds until the summer of 2023 (Transfermarkt).
