Some Liverpool fans are hoping that dream transfer target Ousmane Dembele could be about to hit the transfer market.
Barcelona’s interest in Malcom is puzzling when they have Dembele waiting to be given a chance, and his future would be in question if the La Liga champions signed another exciting winger.
Liverpool supporters are optimistic that Dembele could be pushed in their direction.
Diario Gol reported earlier this summer that Liverpool were interested in Dembele.
The Reds’ interest was rebuffed and they moved on to Nabil Fekir, so far unsuccessfully although that deal could still be re-ignited.
Dembele being put up for sale could prompt Liverpool into a re-think.
The Reds are looking for an attacking player to round off a terrific summer, although Dembele would cost a premium, with Barcelona paying over £100 million to sign him from Borussia Dortmund last year.
A disappointing injury hit season followed and he really needs another year at least to prove himself at the Nou Camp.
Yet if Barcelona sign Malcom, Liverpool and any other interested clubs will start to ask serious questions about Dembele.
