It is being reported this weekend that Liverpool have made a £11 million bid for USA international Christian Pulisic.

Several sources, including the Liverpool Echo, are reporting that Liverpool have made the bid for the Borussia Dortmund star – who Jurgen Klopp knows well from his time at the Bundesliga club.

Klopp first promoted Pulisic to train with the Dortmund first-team in 2015 and is keen to reunite with the talent at Anfield.

It comes in the same week Stoke City made a move for the player.

Bild reported Stoke as one of a number of teams interested in the Dortmund star – including Red Bull Leipzig and CSKA Moscow.

The 17-year-old has been in superb form throughout pre-season for Dortmund. He has had a breakthrough year so far. He made his Bundesliga debut in February and has since gone on to score twice in 12 appearances for the club.

He has also become a regular in the USA national team. He has six caps and scored in a friendly v Bolivia in May – becoming his nation’s youngest ever scorer.

Liverpool fans are rightly excited by the news, even if they already have plenty of attacking midfielders in their side…
