Liverpool are reportedly keen on Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.

Whilst Liverpool managed to bring in Alisson, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri over the summer, much of the transfer window was spent targeting Lyon’s Nabil Fekir.
A deal was all agreed before Liverpool found issues with Fekir’s knee, and when they attempted to negotiate a reduced fee, the deal was called off.
Liverpool could have done with Fekir’s creativity this season, but rather than attempt to sign him in January, it seems that they are now targeting one of his Lyon teammates.
RMC Sport claim that Liverpool are keen on Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, but face competition from Chelsea for his signature in 2019.
Aouar, 20, is another Lyon-born prospect who has come up through the ranks with his hometown club, just like Fekir, and he has been starring of late.
The playmaker has hit five goals and four assists this season, and is now considered as one of the top young creative midfielders in Europe after becoming a key player for Lyon.

The rumours have sparked excitement amongst Liverpool fans, claiming he would be ‘one hell of a signing’ and links to him are a ‘dream come true’, whilst adding that he is ‘quite spectacular’ and could form a superb midfield trio with Fabinho and Naby Keita fo years to come.
