There are very few things that can make any Liverpool fan happier than they already are. The Premier League is finally theirs and nobody can take it away from them, for another year at least.

Jurgen Klopp has truly revolutionised the squad since he took over the club back in 2015. The board deserve a lot of credit for a few of their signings as well, especially the ones of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

The African duo have arguably been the biggest reason why Liverpool have been so successful over the last two years. However, their international allegiance has been a topic that Liverpool fans don’t usually want to hear.

The African Cup of Nations is usually held in the middle of the Premier League season. This forces all of Liverpool’s African players to part ways with their club for a few weeks time which is a huge blow for the Reds due to their reliance on Mane and Salah.

Naby Keita is another one who would have to go away on international duty but thankfully for the Reds, all three of them will be going nowhere next season.

The Confederation of African Football have confirmed that the tournament has been postponed to January 2022. The 2021 version of the competition was supposed to be held in Cameroon this January but that is no longer the case. (Citizen)

Huge boost for Liverpool

Mane, Salah and Keita will all be with the Liverpool squad for the entirety of next season which will certainly boost their chances of defending their title.

Liverpool fans, predictably, were delighted with the news. Here’s how a few of them reacted on Twitter.
