Liverpool have been heavily linked with Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma – and fans are begging him to join after his latest Netherlands display.
The Reds will need to find another winger from somewhere in the near future.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah not only head off to the Africa Cup of Nations in January, but are also nearing their 30’s.
Liverpool must have plans in mind for more additions out wide, and Danjuma is one name heavily linked.
Voetbal International in the Netherlands report that Liverpool wanted Danjuma from Bournemouth over the summer.
They added that, with Danjuma now at Villarreal, Liverpool still want to sign him and scouted him against Manchester United in the Champions League.
Danjuma has been terrorising defenders all season, bagging seven goals in and two assists in 15 appearances.
On Tuesday night, Danjuma featured for the Netherlands in their 2-0 win over Norway, securing a place at next year’s World Cup.
Liverpool fans have been taking to Twitter to hail Danjuma, with some calling him a ‘baller’ and calling on the Reds to make a move.
Others went straight to the winger himself and told him to join Liverpool and join Virgil van Dijk.
