Liverpool produced a superb performance to beat Porto 5-1 away from home in the Champions League – and Curtis Jones was the star of the show.
The Reds headed to Portugal on Tuesday night for their second group stage game having already beaten AC Milan.
This was a demolition job from Jurgen Klopp’s side. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane had the Reds 2-0 up at the break before Salah added the third.
Mehdi Taremi pulled one back for Porto, but Roberto Firmino came on to bag a brace and seal a rout.
Jones shines for Liverpool again
Curtis Jones scored a screamer for Liverpool at Brentford on Saturday, and he enjoyed another great night on Tuesday.
The midfielder had a shot saved for Salah’s goal, before picking Salah out for his second too.
Jones then set up Firmino’s first, and the Brazilian’s second came from a deflected Jones shot.
Jones may claim four assists from that game, and few would try and take that away from him after a superb showing.

Liverpool fans react, make Foden comparison
Manchester City star Phil Foden faces Liverpool this weekend and has been built up as the country’s top young midfield player.
Liverpool fans think Jones should now be spoken of in the same fashion, believing he has now reached Foden’s level.
Others believe that you just won’t hear anything about Jones’ display, calling on BT Sport to run a whole episode about how good Jones is right now.
