Liverpool supporters on Twitter were raging at Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane for his antics during Spurs’ 2-1 defeat at Anfield on Sunday.

With the game level at 1-1 in the second half, Kane had the ball out wide as he tried to knock the ball past Dejan Lovren, who ended up getting ahead of his man. The Liverpool player then ended up catching the Spurs striker very slightly with his arm – and it’s fair to say Kane made the most of it.

Kane went down to ground pretty easily as he was clutching his face, with the referee awarding Tottenham a free-kick.

Liverpool supporters on social media picked up on this and they weren’t happy with the England captain, as they also feel that there was a lack of coverage on the incident.

They picked up on how Kane was awarded a free-kick for that incident, but there were moments when challenges on the likes of Virgil van Dijk went unpunished.

Added with that, the Reds fans also think that had the shoe been on the other foot, and had a Mo Salah or a Sadio Mane been in that situation than a lot more would have been made of it.

The game in itself was broadcast live on Sky Sports, with talk before and after the game, mostly being about Tottenham’s problems on and off the pitch.

In the end, Spurs would go onto lose the game at Anfield despite Mauricio Pochettino’s side taking the lead inside the first minute through Kane’s header.
