Liverpool fans react to reports suggesting Jurgen Klopp’s assistant Zeljko Buvac is set to leave.

Liverpool fans have reacted with concern to reports Jurgen Klopp’s trusted assistant is set to leave the club.

A report by Duncan Castles in the Daily Record exclusively claims that Zeljko Buvac has had a disagreement with manager Jurgen Klopp an he will depart Liverpool.

Buvac has worked alongside Jurgen Klopp for over a decade at former club Borussia Dortmund and now Liverpool and played a key part in the German manager’s success.

Liverpool are in the Champions League semi-finals and are hoping to win Europe’s top competition for a sixth time.

Disruption behind the scenes is the last thing Klopp’s Liverpool need and this news appears to have come out of nowhere.

There has been no statement from the club on the reports verifying them one way or another and supporters are hoping they turn out to be false.

Jurgen Klopp has previously referred to Buvac as ‘the brain’ behind his success and past history will leave Liverpool fans cautious.

Former manager Rafa Benitez struggled to replicate his success at the club after his assistant Pako Ayestaran quit and the Reds do not need a repeat.
