Lewandowski, 29, has hit a staggering 151 goals in 195 games for Bayern, but his agent Pini Zahavi has told the Bundesliga giants that the Polish hitman needs a new challenge, as reported by Sky Sports.
Lewandowski will have a host of suitors this summer, and having been signed by Klopp at Borussia Dortmund – and hit 103 goals in 187 games under the German – Reds fans are keen to see him arrive at Anfield.
Liverpool fans took to Twitter today in order to urge Klopp to launch a blockbuster bid to reunite with Lewandowski, suggesting he is a ‘footballing genius’, believing he may be the striker to take the Reds to the next level given his relationship with Klopp and his stunning goalscoring record.
