Liverpool suffered their first defeat of their pre-season campaign with a 1-0 loss to Chelsea in their International Champions Cup clash in Los Angeles.
It was a tight contest with very few chances that was settled with a 10th minute goal from Gary Cahill as he headed home a Cesc Fabregas corner.

While conceding from a set-piece is a familiar feeling for Liverpool, it’s another familiar feeling on twitter for several Liverpool fans in being dissastisfied with the performance of left-back Alberto Moreno.
Moreno certainly made his mark on the game early on with a poor challenge on Willian in the sixth minute, which saw the Spaniard deservedly booked.
There were times when he seemed to look a threat going forward but did look vulnerable at times, but given there is a lack of competition for the Spaniard in that area, it seems that many are determined to see at least some competition at left-back, or an upgrade altogether.

It looks as though those on twitter won’t be entirely satisfied unless there is a left-back signed before the transfer window shuts at the end of next month.
