Liverpool lost 2-0 away at Napoli on Tuesday night.

Liverpool may have a 100% winning record in the Premier League, but they have fallen flat in their first Champions League game of the season.
The Reds started their defence of their Champions League crown with a trip to Naples, facing a Napoli side who beat them in Italy last season too.
Liverpool couldn’t quite get going in the final third, and had Adrian to thank when he pulled off a stunning save to deny Dries Mertens with an acrobatic back post effort.
Liverpool did fall in the end though as Andrew Robertson brought down Jose Callejon inside the box for a controversial and soft penalty, and Mertens stepped up to score from the spot.
Napoli doubled their lead in added time as former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente profited from a rare Virgil van Dijk error to score his first goal for the Serie A side.
Liverpool will want to quickly forget another dismal night at the Stadio San Paolo, and whilst a number of players have received criticism, boss Jurgen Klopp isn’t exempt either.

Klopp chose to bring on winger Xherdan Shaqiri with just three minutes of normal time left, and whilst the 27-year-old isn’t exactly Klopp’s favourite player, his decision to give him barely any time to impact the game has left fans annoyed.
Some fans went after Klopp, accusing him of ‘poor coaching’ for leaving him sat on the bench until the game was almost over, believing that it’s time for Shaqiri to leave because he bizarrely isn’t being given any sort of chance to play for the Reds.
