Liverpool are interested in Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella and Fabinho could be offered as part of a deal.

That’s according to Inter Live over in Italy, who claim that Jurgen Klopp could ask for Barella as a top signing if he stays as Liverpool boss.

It’s stated that Liverpool have been chasing Barella for a long time now despite his huge price tag.

Inter want up to €100million (£88million) for Barella – a price that hasn’t exactly scared Liverpool off right now.

However, to try and bring the price down a little, it’s claimed that Liverpool could send Fabinho to Inter in part-exchange.

Inter would be inclined to say no to a swap deal and seemingly want cash only when it comes to Barella.

Still, Liverpool will hope that a player of Fabinho’s calibre and reputation can tempt Inter into an agreement.

Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of Liverpool target Nicolo Barella

Liverpool are going to be linked with plenty of midfielders between now and the summer transfer window.

It has already started really; Jude Bellingham, Mason Mount and Matheus Nunes continue to be linked with regularity.

Barella seems a little less likely to join Liverpool but Klopp does appear to love him.

Speaking in 2022, Klopp suggested that Barella is a ‘really good player’ and he likes him ‘a lot’.

Klopp went even further, hailing him as ‘aggressive’ and ‘technical’ whilst praising his ability to ‘run for ages’.

The German ended by saying Barella is a ‘top-class’ player, showing enormous praise for the Inter Milan star.

It therefore make sense that Liverpool are interested and the 26-year-old appears to be on the Liverpool radar.

Fabinho has endured a difficult season and offloading him to help bring in a player like Barella would be ideal for the Reds.

It will all come down to Inter’s demands though and convincing them to take the Brazilian may be a tough ask.
