Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is now wanted by local rivals Everton amid concerns over his future with the England national team.
That’s according to Graeme Bailey, who was making the claims whilst speaking to Anfield Watch on Monday.
Bailey claims that Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and West Ham United would all like to sign Gomez this summer.
Fulham are expected to join the race too, whilst Liverpool’s city rivals Everton also interested in a deal.
Gomez has become fourth-choice striker at Liverpool, sitting behind Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate.
It’s stated that Gomez is ‘hugely worried’ about his chances of being in the England squad for the World Cup later this year, realising he is out of favour under Gareth Southgate.
That means Gomez is interested in leaving Liverpool this summer due to his lack of first-team football.
Jurgen Klopp suggested last month that Gomez is ‘incredible’ but has simply been unlucky with his lack of playing time.
That won’t really cut it for Gomez though, who needs to be playing first-team football if he is to make it back into the England squad.
Not many players make the direct move from Liverpool to Everton, and it’s currently quite hard to see Gomez making that switch.

Everton are in real danger of suffering relegation to the Championship right now, continuing to struggle under new boss Frank Lampard.
If Everton drop out of the Premier League, they certainly won’t have a chance at signing Gomez.
Even if Everton stay up, offers from the likes of Tottenham or Newcastle would surely be much more appealing than a move across Stanley Park.
It’s a somewhat ambitious pursuit from Everton, especially with their relegation fate still unknown, and we just can’t see a way that the Toffees manage to bring Gomez to Goodison Park.
