Fabian Delph will get a taste of the Merseyside derby against Liverpool next season after he joined Everton on Monday.

Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold liked Fabian Delph’s passionate Instagram message after he joined Everton from Manchester City on Monday.
Midfielder Delph posted on his personal Instagram account that he ready to start a new chapter at Everton, as he lauded them as a ‘historic’ Merseyside outfit and labelled Goodison Park and their fans as a ‘tough’ place to play with an ‘amazing’ fanbase.

There’s no doubt that the mutual respect from the Liverpool duo will stop there, especially when they step onto the same field together for the Merseyside derby.
Delph will be well aware of his battles with Liverpool because of his time with Manchester City, where Pep Guardiola piped Jurgen Klopp’s side to the Premier League title last season.

The England international didn’t play as much as he would have liked during that time, hence why he made the switch to Everton.
Last season, the Reds picked up four out of six points against their neighbours, but the Toffees will be hoping a player of Delph’s ability and his leadership qualities, added with other signings, will help the Toffees win the bragging rights ahead of the new season.
After playing alongside each other with England, Delph and Henderson, if selected for from the start, will take their battle to the middle of the park with the first Merseyside derby set to take place in early December.
