‘Liverpool don’t need’: Pundit’s claim about £200k-a-week Tottenham ace

Jose Enrique has said on Twitter that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool do not need to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The former Liverpool star made the comments while looking at the clubs that Kane could move to if he leaves Tottenham at the end of the season.

The pundit has noted that Liverpool do not need to sign a striker, so he believes that there is no chance that the £200,000-a-week (SalarySport) England international will switch to Anfield.

Now, we know that Liverpool are well stocked in attack.

Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez all are very good players.

So, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners do not need to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

However, if Kane did become available at the end of the season, then, in our view, Liverpool should at least ask about about him.

Yes, Kane will cost a lot of money in transfer fees and salary, but he is one of the best strikers in the world who can also drop deep and play as an attacking midfielder.

And still score goals.

We have no doubt that Kane would make Liverpool much better and potent in attack.

Now, of course, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp may not want too many forwards in his squad, but at least the Reds should ask about Kane if they do get an indication that he could become available in the summer of 2023.
