Aston Villa should pursue Liverpool’s Divock Origi in January.

Thierry Henry is the strong favourite to land the Aston Villa job with Goal claiming he is holding talks with the Championship club.
His potential stint in charge promises an injection of star power, which can manifest itself positively in the transfer window.
One player they should actively pursue if Henry takes the job is Liverpool attacker Divock Origi.
Origi has been struggling for game time this season for Liverpool; he hasn’t played a single minute.
The Mirror reported in August that Liverpool wanted £27 million for the striker amid interest from Borussia Dortmund, and keeping him put is in nobody’s interests.
Origi has worked with Thierry Henry for Belgium, and raved about his experiences with the French legend.

He told Liverpool’s official website earlier this year: “He has a very high level of intelligence of football and especially for strikers.
“He tries to help me a lot; trying to optimise my qualities and use them in an efficient way.
“So these are all positive things and I’m very happy he’s with the national team.”
Origi staying at Liverpool beyond January does not look viable.
He will likely have options from abroad, but if a Villa led Henry show interest, it is an option the 23-year-old would probably give very strong consideration too.
