Liverpool appear to have shelved their interest in Pyramids winger Ibrahim Adel despite a recommendation from Mohamed Salah.
Pyramids star Ibrahim Adel seemingly won’t be heading to join Mohamed Salah at Liverpool any time soon.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Liverpool are no longer in the mix to sign Adel.
Adel, 22, has become one of the top talents in Egyptian football with 26 goals and nine assists in 110 games for Pyramids.
A winger who has played on both flanks, Adel has been linked with Liverpool in recent times but there will seemingly be no deal now.

Mohamed Salah allegedly backed Adel for Liverpool
Adel would have given Liverpool another Egyptian winger alongside superstar Mohamed Salah.
That would have been a huge moment for Egyptian football and Salah seemingly played a part in the initial Liverpool interest.
90Min reported last year that Salah had ‘made sure’ that Liverpool were well aware of Adel’s talent and potential.
Liverpool scouts were already tracking Adel but Salah’s seal of approval seemed to ramp up the rumours.
The Reds now appear to be backing away whilst rumours surrounding Salah’s own long-term future and a potential move to Saudi Arabia continue to swirl.

Ibrahim Adel could still end up in the Premier League
Adel may not be heading to Liverpool but a Premier League move may still be on the cards.
TEAMtalk’s report claims that at least six Premier League clubs have been keeping tabs on Adel for a potential transfer.
Chelsea, Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Burnley are all believed to have shown a real interest.
There is also interest in Russia and Belgium with Adel seemingly lined up to move on from Egypt in the near future.
Maybe Liverpool will re-enter the race in 2024, but it currently looks more likely that he will be facing Liverpool than wearing the famous red shirt.
