Liverpool have sold the Belgian goalkeeper to Club Brugge.

It hasn’t been a hectic transfer window for Liverpool, but sporting director Michael Edwards has been enhancing his reputation nonetheless.
And his most recent deal is an excellent one, for football and financial reasons.
On Monday, Liverpool announced the signing of Adrian, their third summer signing.
The Spanish goalkeeper arrives on Merseyside as a Bosman after being released by West Ham United, having spent six years in East London.
He is a replacement for Simon Mignolet, who has moved to Club Brugge in a £6 million deal [The Telegraph].
In other words, Edwards might’ve signed an upgrade for Alisson for absolutely free, while getting a tidy bit of chunk change for the Belgian keeper.
The writing has been on the wall for Mignolet for well over a year, before even the brilliant Brazilian was signed. For the second half of the 2017-18 campaign he had lost his spot to Loris Karius and, given how awful he wound up being, what Liverpool got for the former Sunderland man isn’t bad at all.
Adrian is no world beater, but he’s arguably better than Mignolet and to be in a £6 million profit after chopping and changing the goalkeeping situation reiterates how savvy Edwards is.
