Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah could play together in Liverpool’s attack with Jurgen Klopp hinting at a potential partnership.
The Reds were in Premier League action on Wednesday night, just about 72 hours after the draining 1-0 win over Manchester City.
West Ham United were the visitors to Anfield and were hoping to spring a shock on Liverpool, but it just didn’t happen.
Darwin Nunez’s first-half opener proved to be the winner in a 1-0 Liverpool victory, though they had to ride their luck at times.
A win is a win though and with six points from their last two games, Liverpool will feel like they’re back on track.

Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah could play together
It was great to see Nunez on the scoresheet once again.
That’s now three goals in four games for Nunez, or three in three if you only count starts.
The Uruguayan seems to be finding his feet at Liverpool after a rather inauspicious start.
A red card against Crystal Palace on his first Premier League start wasn’t ideal and Nunez was a little hit and miss in the final third.
Nunez isn’t exactly pretty on the eye at times, rather an agent of chaos in the final third than a finely-tuned technician.
Defenders know they’re in a game though with Nunez having all the physical and athletic attributes you could want.
Nunez led the line for Liverpool against West Ham with Roberto Firmino up alongside him, dropping into space when possible.
This came days after Jurgen Klopp decided to use Mohamed Salah as a striker against Manchester City.
The natural thought process is for the possibility of Nunez and Salah playing up front together.
That could cause real problems for Premier League defences and Klopp has told the Liverpool Echo that there is a ‘chance’ that they do play up top together.
Klopp believes that would be a ‘high-speed combination’ in attack, though the German admitted that he is still figuring out the 4-4-2 system he has utilised of late.
“There’s a chance we play with Darwin and Mo in the centre – that would be a high-speed combination! – but we need to get there somehow. We are still developing this kind of system and we have to figure out how it is best for the specific game,” said Klopp.
