Darwin Nunez wants to join Liverpool and has told Benfica that they are the only club he is interested in signing for this summer.
Liverpool look set to lose Sadio Mane this summer with Bayern Munich pushing to land the Senegal star.
The Reds will certainly need a replacement for Mane if he does go, even with Luis Diaz added during the January transfer window.
It now looks like Liverpool want a centre forward rather than a winger, and Benfica star Nunez has emerged as the clear top target.

Darwin Nunez wants to join Liverpool
Portuguese newspaper Record reported on Wednesday morning that Liverpool had offered a deal worth up to €100million (£85million) for Nunez.
The move appears to be accelerating very quickly with Liverpool trying to make sure they get the deal over the line.
Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda has told Sky Sports that Manchester United are planning talks with Jorge Mendes today in an attempt to secure a deal.
Yet Sepulveda noted that Nunez already has his heart set on joining Liverpool and it will take a lot to change his mind.
The Mirror report that Nunez has now told Benfica that Liverpool are the only club he wants to join this summer.

Any rival interest will seemingly fall on deaf ears now with Nunez having tunnel vision; it’s only Liverpool in his sights.
United may as well back out of this race now if those reports are true as Nunez is desperate to join the Reds.
Nunez, 22, smashed an absurd 34 goals in 41 games for Benfica this past season, adding four assists too.
Nunez looks on track to join the likes of Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and Dusan Vlahovic as the next great strikers.
Liverpool are paying big money for Nunez but if he can get even close to his Benfica form, this could be masterstroke from the Reds – and beating United to a signing is always nice!
