Liverpool look set to miss out on Daichi Kamada with Borussia Dortmund believing that a deal for the playmaker is moving closer and closer.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Dortmund feel an agreement for Kamada is ‘almost ready’.
It’s stated that a five-year deal for Kamada is close and Dortmund seemingly expect the move to be done soon.
Kamada is out of contract at Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season and it looks like he will stay in the Bundesliga with Dortmund.
This comes after Sport1’s Patrick Berger told The Redmen TV that Kamada is indeed on Liverpool’s list for the summer transfer window.
“I heard that he is also one of the players on the list for Liverpool, but he is keen, as I’m told, to move to Borussia Dortmund as a free agent,” said Berger.
Liverpool may well have wanted to sign Kamada but it looks like Jurgen Klopp’s former club will win this transfer race.

Daichi Kamada could have been an interesting Liverpool signing
Liverpool fans didn’t exactly see the best of Takumi Minamino, but going for another Japanese talent in Kamada would have made some sense.
The 26-year-old has proven himself as a real attacking threat this season, racking up 13 goals and five assists in 31 appearances this term.
An attack-minded midfielder, Kamada could have been a real link between midfield and attack for Liverpool either in a midfield three or pushed forward as number 10.
The real selling point with Kamada is that he is available for absolutely nothing.
It’s not often that players of this quality become available for free and signing him would have freed up cash for Liverpool to spend elsewhere.
Liverpool have big targets like Josko Gvardiol and Jude Bellingham in mind, so signing Kamada would have added another threat without breaking the bank.
Unless there is a late change of heart though, it looks like Liverpool will miss out and watch Kamada join Dortmund instead.
