Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have identified Tottenham Hotspur target Sofyan Amrabat as an alternative to Jude Bellingham, according to SkySport journalist Florian Plettenberg on Twitter.
Plettenberg has reported that Liverpool are among the clubs who are observing Amrabat and have him as a back-up to Borussia Dortmund midfielder Bellingham and Brighton and Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo.
The Morocco international midfielder, who is playing at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, is open to leaving Fiorentina and will cost at least €30 million (£26 million).
Liverpool, though, are not the only club from England who are keen on Amrabat.
Tottenham have also been linked with the midfielder, described as “a real talent” and “sensational” by former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy on talkSPORT (1 December, 12pm).

Earlier this week, Viola News. reported that Tottenham wanted to sign Amrabat last year and remain keen on him.
Should Liverpool sign Sofyan Amrabat?
In our view, Liverpool should do their utmost to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023, but we do think that it is very smart of the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners to have Sofyan Amrabat as an alternative.
The Moroccan star has done well for Fiorentina in Italy, and at the age of 26, it is fair to say that his best years are ahead of him.
However, Bellingham is a generation talent and is one of the best young players on the planet.
And the England international is only 19.
Yes, Bellingham is likely to cost over £100 million, but he will be a long-term investment for Liverpool.
