Liverpool could sign £5m Sandro as a cheaper alternative to Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette.

Alexandre Lacazette is among Europe’s hottest transfer topics this summer, with Arsenal and Liverpool among the number of clubs reported to be interested in the Lyon forward, but Liverpool would do well to target a talented alternative for a fraction of the cost.
Lyon’s 25-year-old has 24 goals in his 27 league appearances this season and 31 across all competitions.

The Ligue 1 side look set to attempt to retain their star man at all costs, reports the Daily Mail, with club president Jean Michel-Aulas saying: “We’re ready to go a bit crazy and do things we’ve never done to keep Alexandre Lacazette.
“The club is good; the club has invested in all the structures that will allow it to get back among Europe’s top 10 clubs.”
If Lacazette does leave Lyon, he is sure to fetch a high price and Liverpool may not be able to compete with their higher spending rivals.
However, The Sentinel have linked Jurgen Klopp’s side, as well as Stoke City, with in-form Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez, and the Spaniard could be a cheaper viable alternative to the in-demand Lacazette.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for the La Liga side this season, scoring 14 goals in his 27 appearances, including two goals in his single Copa Del Ray appearance.
The former Barcelona man has a release clause in his contract for approximately £5million, according to The Sentinel, which would be considered a brilliant piece of business for the Reds if he can maintain his high standards in Europe’s most demanding league.
