Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City have been linked with Jorginho of Napoli in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool and Manchester United may be interested in signing Jorginho from Napoli in the summer transfer window, but it has been reported that he prefers Manchester City.

According to The Times, Liverpool want to sign the 26-year-old Italy international midfielder in the summer transfer window.

The Sun has credited the two Manchester clubs with interest in the former Verona star, and the British tabloid has claimed that he favours a move to City over United.

Jorginho is one of the best holding midfielders in Europe, and he would be a great addition to Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool, though, will be disappointed if indeed they miss out on a player who can take his game to another level if he works with manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds could do with a player of Jorginho’s quality and calibre next season if they are to challenge for the Premier League title and compete in the Champions League, and perhaps there is still time for the Merseyside outfit to convince the Napoli star to move to Anfield.

According to CIES Football Observatory, the current value of Jorginho is €45 million (£39.47m).
