Liverpool have high hopes for youngster Conor Bradley – and Jurgen Klopp seemingly sees him moving into midfield in the future.

Bradley, 18, joined Liverpool from Dungannon Swifts in 2019 and has been coming through the Reds ranks in recent years.

The right back is around Liverpool’s first team this season, securing a senior debut against Norwich City last month.

Bradley gave away a penalty in that Carabao Cup game, but Liverpool still think the teenager has a big future ahead of him.

With three Northern Ireland caps to his name already, Bradley could become a mainstay at international and domestic levels.

Bradley is now away on international duty once again, and Northern Ireland boss Ian Baraclough has offered some insight.

Baraclough has told Belfast Live that Liverpool blows Klopp actually sees Bradley moving from right back to midfield later in his career.

Baraclough agrees with Klopp, believing he has all the abilities to play as a full back, wing back or midfielder.

“Jurgen thinks – and I agree, who am I not to agree with him actually – that Conor could play in a midfield role as he gets older,” said Baraclough.

“He has the skill-set to be a conventional full-back or a wing-back, but he can also play in midfield. A little bit higher up,” he added.

The same conversation is often held on Trent Alexander-Arnold, with some believing he can play in midfield rather than right back.

Bradley will struggle to break past Alexander-Arnold at right back, so may be a move into midfield may be beneficial.
