Real Madrid fans have reacted on Twitter to potential team news emerging ahead of their Champions League showdown with Liverpool on Tuesday night.
Liverpool are in Spain hoping to eradicate that nightmare night from 2018 in Kyiv, but those in the Anfield camp have insisted that they are not on a ‘revenge’ mission, as Jurgen Klopp told Sky Sports.
Whilst much hasn’t changed for Liverpool since then, a lot has changed for their opponents, who no longer have the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale at their disposal.
But they still have the reliable and underrated figure of Karim Benzema, who is expected to lead the line.
The France international will seemingly be joined by thriving youngster, Vinicius Junior and the deadly left foot of, Marco Asensio, according to AS.
The last time Asensio was in action in the Champions League, he netted from the bench, just like he did against Celta at the back end of last month.
Therefore, it’s no surprise that some Madrid supporters wouldn’t mind him being used as a super-sub in order to strengthen their midfield from a defensive standpoint.
It’s a crying shame that Virgil van Dijk and Sergio Ramos won’t be available tonight but there is some serious attacking talent on show.
Here is a selection of Madrid fans reacting to who could start against Liverpool tonight:
