Liverpool coach Michael Beale has praised West Ham United youngster Declan Rice on social networking site Twitter.
Beale, who is the Head of coaching for the foundation phase at Liverpool, was impressed with the performance of Rice for West Ham against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday evening.
The 18-year-old, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, played well for the Hammers in the London derby and helped David Moyes’s side pick up a point from the Premier League game courtesy of a 1-1 draw.
Liverpool coach Beale was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international.


Rice is a very talented and promising young player, and it is clear that he has a bright future.
David Moyes is a good manager and knows how to handle young players, and the West Ham boss could make Rice a brilliant footballer.
The Hammers are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment.
