Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate continued his fine goalscoring form on Saturday – and Reds target Christopher Nkunku has hailed his celebration.

Konate buried a powerful header against Benfica earlier this month, setting Liverpool on their way to a 3-1 win.

The Frenchman then scored against Benfica once again just a matter of days ago as Liverpool reached the Champions League semi-finals.

On Saturday afternoon, Konate was at it once again.

Liverpool faced Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley. Konate got the scoring started by scoring a towering header.

Liverpool once again claimed a victory, beating City 3-2 to reach the FA Cup final.

That’s three goals in his last three games for Konate – one more than his entire tally with former club RB Leipzig!

Konate’s goal threat is giving Liverpool a major threat from set pieces and his celebration is becoming very common.

The defender loves to run away from goal and perform a knee slide in front of fans.

Konate’s attempt to do that against Benfica was somewhat ruined when Fabinho slid into frame and fell to the ground in a collapsed heap.

It was a little smoother against Benfica just days ago and then both Konate and Fabinho pulled off the knee slide perfectly against City.

One man who absolutely loved the celebration against City was Christopher Nkunku – Konate’s former Leipzig teammate.

Nkunku took to Instagram to comment on Konate’s post, simply stating ‘Today the slide is mastered, I like it’.

Nkunku no doubts wants to see that knee slide more regularly from Konate, and he could end up seeing it as his teammate once again.

ESPN report that Liverpool are looking at red-hot Nkunku as a potential signing this summer.

With 30 goals in all competitions this season, Nkunku is a little more accustomed to celebrating than Konate.

Yet if Klopp can somehow pull off bringing Nkunku to Liverpool in a hugely exciting deal, they could end up celebrating goals together at Anfield – something many Reds fans would love to see.
