Has Michael Edwards done it again at Liverpool? Perhaps.

Edwards has masterminded quite a few stunning pieces of transfer business for the reigning Premier League champions down the years.

And if Liverpool take up their option to sign Ozan Kabak, that could prove another absolute steal.

Despite a rocky start to life at Anfield, Kabak, who joined the Reds on loan from Schalke in January, is getting better and better and his performances in the Champions League wins over Leipzig have been a particular height.

Edwards can get him for as cheap as £18 million which could be an absolute steal when you consider his potential and the fact that he’s only 21.

In fact, the young Turkey powerhouse only turned 21 today and Liverpool acknowledged his birthday with a brief 90-second compilation of his best bits.

Here’s how some fans of the Anfield club responded to the tweet on social media:

Kabak is raw but there’s a hell of a lot of potential there and when he’s training alongside the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, he’ll improve quite a lot.

His playing time will suffer, but that’s in the short term. In the long term, he could be a mainstay in Liverpool’s back four and maybe, just maybe, another case of Edwards’s wizardry.
