Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp makes Manchester United prediction

Liverpool and Manchester United are set to meet at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has told the Liverpool Echo that he thinks that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to recall Anthony Martial to Manchester United’s starting line-up at the weekend.

Martial has not featured for United for two months, after picking up an injury, but he is back in training ahead of their match against Liverpool.

And Klopp thinks that United will look to hurt his side by picking his fastest attacking trio at Old Trafford on Sunday, with Daniel James and Marcus Rashford also tipped to start by the Reds boss.

“He is a really good player,” Klopp said of James. “I expect Martial, Rashford and James on the pitch. The speed they have and quality all across the pitch.”

When Martial was in the side, United’s attack looked much more dangerous than it has in recent weeks.

The French international’s return should be a major boost to United, as they look to get their season on track after a terrible start.

Injuries to key players have badly affected the Red Devils, with Solskjaer’s side struggling to hit the back of the net.

Liverpool have had no such issues this term, with Klopp’s men seemingly unstoppable so far in the Premier League.

Liverpool have taken maximum points from their first eight games, and head into this weekend’s derby game as heavy favourites to pick up the victory.
