Liverpool boss admits Manchester City will prevent his team dominating.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted Manchester City make winning trophies difficult for the Reds.
City beat Liverpool to the Premier League by a single point, but Klopp says the Reds had to ‘fight like crazy’ just to get near them.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Klopp was asked if he could foresee a golden age at Liverpool.
He responded by saying Manchester City make it impossible in terms of silverware.
Klopp explained: “Silverware-wise I am not sure if that is possible in an era of Manchester City because there is one team above all of us and we have to fight like crazy to be kind of close.
“But development wise, joy-wise, it can be a golden era and for me it is already.”
Klopp has a chance to win a trophy this weekend, and it is another English side which stand in their way.
Tottenham eliminated City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and now take on Liverpool in the final.
Victory would answer Klopp’s critics and detractors, giving Liverpool their sixth European title.
